A naturally occurring fatty alcohol used in a broad variety of cosmetics as an emulsion stabiliser and opacifier. Whilst it is a common belief that you should avoid cosmetic skincare products containing alcohol, due to the drying out effects they can cause, fatty alcohols don’t have the same effect due to their chemical structure. This chemical makeup allows fatty alcohols, such as Cetyl Alcohol, to trap water and provide a soothing feel to the skin.
According to the FDA, even cosmetic products labelled ‘alcohol free’ are allowed to contain Cetyl Alcohol and other fatty alcohols.

Derived from the oil of plants, such as coconut, soy or palm, glycerin is a clear, colourless and odourless liquid used in many cosmetics to assist in retaining moisture and pulling oxygen into the skin.
Helps cleanse without clogging pores, whilst facilitating the absorption of other beneficial active ingredients in natural products. It also smoothes the look of fine lines and minuscule cracks on the skin and evens out the skin tone to lighten dark areas, and diminishes the appearance of unwanted spots and marks.
